Things have been a little quiet on The Arsenal Collection front for one reason or another over the last few weeks, so we thought we would give you a bit of a recap on what we have achieved with the project so far.
Although may have been a bit quiet recently, there has been a tremendous amount of work that has gone into the website since we first launched early this year.
We have had over 22,000 views on the site in the four months or so that the website has been online, which is something we are immensely proud of, given that we currently work on this project in our spare time.
We also have over 1,600 followers on Twitter, and a great following on Facebook and Instagram.
We now have well over 400 programmes, dating all the way back to the 1913-14 season! The collection of programmes includes a number of full seasons of home programmes, and there are some real gems in there.
A personal favourite is this programme from game between Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion in the London War Cup, Saturday 14th March 1942, complete with instructions on what to do should you hear an air-raid siren! You will also notice a slight tear in the bottom corner of this item, which for me adds even more to the authentic feel.
The memorabilia section contains over fifty items including a number of rarities, such as the architect Archibald Leitch's plans for Highbury, printed on cloth, submitted to Islington's planning department in 1913.
We also have a number of books, newspapers and handbooks, the earliest one dating back to 1930-31.

The latest feature we have added to the website is the opportunity for you to sign up for FREE membership of The Arsenal Collection, which will eventually open up a number of new, interactive features.
The first of these exciting new features was launched just last month, and we already have a healthy number of fans that have joined us!
This first new feature is the chance for you to create your own Arsenal Collection from our hundreds of items. Simply sign up for free here, and follow the simple instructions.
There will be many more features available to our members in future too….so watch this space.
Coming this week........one of the rarest Arsenal programmes ever!
This week we will be updating another season of home programmes, which will include one of the rarest Arsenal programmes ever!
Be sure to Follow The Arsenal Collection on Twitter for updates on this and all new additions and latest news from The Arsenal Collection.

All of this is really just the tip of the iceberg though, and there are literally thousands more items that we wish to add to The Arsenal Collection in the months and years to come, such is the scale of this project.
Our aim is for The Arsenal Collection to grow to be the largest digital collection of Arsenal memorabilia that you will find anywhere on the internet.
Thank you for all of your support so far!
