Welcome to The Arsenal Collection!
The Arsenal Collection is a collaboration between Andy Kelly and Mark Andrews of The Arsenal History, and Darren Berry. We were inspired to set up this website by The Everton Collection, and our aim is to provide an online archive as extensive as the Merseysiders.
We've started with a limited amount of material as we will tweak the layout of the site over the next few months, so please bear with us.
We've started off with a set of home programmes from the 1970-71 double winning season, along with a random selection of programmes dating back to 1915.
In addition, we have Liam Brady's "So Far So Good", handbooks from 1930, 1966 and 1989 as well as two commemorative newspapers, some photographs and the architect's layout of Highbury from 1913.
To start with, most of the material will come from our own collections. We have also been helped with contributions from Richard Lerman, Paul Matz and @N5_1BU who have given us access to their collections.
We have plenty of digitised material ready to be uploaded but, as we are doing this in our spare time, updates will be over a regular period rather than a single mass upload. Therefore, it is advisable to follow us via the email subscription at the bottom of this blog, twitter, facebook and instagram to be sure of being notified of updates.
Please feel free to leave comments and feedback so that we can incorporate any ideas that may enhance the site.
So, if you are looking to carry out research on our fantastic football club or simply want to reminisce, we'll provide you with the resources that you require.
Andy, Mark and Darren
