This game saw the official opening of the new Art Deco West Stand designed by Claude Ferrier and William Binnie. The stand was opened by the Prince of Wales, who would become King Edward VIII in 1936.
The programme included supplements which gave details of the old stand, designed by Archibald Leitch, and the construction of the new stand along with a programme of the music that was played throughout the day.
